The workshops will support new migrants to engage in volunteering and build their readiness, knowledge and skills to volunteer .
When:
- Tuesday 27 April 2021 : 10am-12pm, Expectations – what to expect from a volunteering opportunity and rights and responsibilities
- Tuesday 4 May 2021 : 10am-12.30pm, How to find and apply for volunteering opportunities and Identify action plan to find opportunities
- Tuesday 11 May 2021 : 10am-11.30am, Face to face* meet and greet session with community organisations (location will be advised closer to the date) light refreshments provided this session only. *Note this session may change suddenly to a virtual delivery at short notice due to COVID restrictions.
Duration: 2 hours per workshop, live virtually via zoom and includes an 1.5 hour face to face ‘meet and greet’ session with the community organisations.

Participation requirements:
• Be a Hume resident
• A new migrant (up to five years)
• Able to commit to ALL session dates
• Have access to a computer with high speed internet and zoom software
